Representative
Payee
New Housing Opportunities, Inc. provides representative payee services to Warren
and Clinton County residents who need assistance in managing their personal financial
affairs. The Representative Payee Program provides payee services in collaboration
with Mental Health Recovery Services of Warren and Clinton Counties (MHRS), to
consumers with chronic mental illness who are referred by a case manager of MHRS
or an affiliated Service Agency. The Representative Payee Program helps clients
manage various types of income, including Social Security benefits (retirement
or disability) and Supplemental Security Income.
Benefits
Management
NHO, Inc. offers benefits management and advisement
services for Severely Mentaly Disabled clients in Warren
and Clinton Counties. Our Benefits Manager meets with
Social Enterprise emplyees, potential employees, and
clients throughout the mental health system to evaluate
and discuss their work options in regards to how it
will affect their SSI/SSDI and Medicare/Medicaid benefits.
The Benefits Manager meets with each person individually
to assess his or her situation before completing a
Beneftis Analysis Report. In a follow-up appointment,
the results of the report are presented and discussed
with the client and other interested parties. The end
result is that the client is educated to the impact
that working has on his or her benefits. |
